Dancing in Moonlight
A young girl named Lily used to live in a small village tucked away in the middle of the forest. The moon's illumination of the earth and the gentle glow it cast over everything in its path had always captivated her. She once heard music playing outside her window as she slept in her bed. She awoke with a curious feeling and got out of bed.
She glanced out the window and noticed a group of individuals dancing in the moonlight. Their bodies were spinning and twirling in perfect unison with the music. Lily was captivated.
It was unlike anything she had ever seen.
She heard the music once more as she was in bed the following night. She didn't pause this time. She jumped out of bed, laced up her shoes, and headed outside. When she arrived, she noticed the same group of individuals dancing in the moonlight. She was received with open arms and joined in the dancing.
Lily started dancing under the moonlight that night and did so frequently after that. She picked up new dance moves and steps, and she integrated into the group. She was welcomed into their community with open arms and felt at home for the first time.
However, one night as they were dancing, a ominous cloud cast a shadow over everything as it covered the moon. The dancers jumped up in fright as the music stopped. A shiver went down Lily's spine. A problem existed.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the darkness. It was a woman, all in black, with long hair that cascaded down her back like a river of night. Lily's heart skipped a beat as a result of the woman's cold, dark eyes on her.
The woman spoke, her words sounding cold. "Child, you don't belong here.
As soon as you can, leave.
".
Lily wasn't sure what to do. Despite never having met this woman before, she was aware of her danger. She was left alone with the woman after the other dancers moved away.
But then something incredible occurred. The moon shone down on the group as it emerged from the clouds. The dancers started to move as the music started up again.
A burst of energy caused Lily to begin dancing as well.
Although the woman attempted to stop her, Lily was too swift. Her body moved in perfect unison with the music as she twirled and spun. She knew she would never stop dancing in the moonlight because her heart was overflowing with happiness.
The woman left after the dance had finished. Despite searching the area, Lily was unable to locate her. As they gathered around her, the other dancers applauded her bravery.
Lily started dancing in the moonlight with even more fervor after that day. She was prepared for the difficulties that lay ahead because she was aware of them. She had finally found a home, and she wouldn't let go of it.
